Join our team at Exertis UK as an Assistant Tax Accountant, where you’ll work within the Financial Planning & Analysis Team, and wider Core Finance team, collaborating with experienced professionals who are passionate about driving financial excellence and delivering impactful results across the business.

 

As part of the team, you’ll:

• Prepare and submit UK and International VAT Returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing while managing related queries and reconciling all tax-related balance sheet accounts.

• Support wider tax compliance activities, including Employment Tax, Intrastat, PPT, FHDDS and conduct control-based checks (e.g. drop shipments, VAT registrations, export clearances and duty reviews).

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as HMRC, auditors and tax advisors to ensure effective tax compliance, issue resolution and implementation of best practices.

• Contribute to tax improvements, stay current with tax legislation changes, investigate ad-hoc tax matters and assist with automation and efficiency initiatives within the finance function.

• ERP and Tax experience: Prior experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and involvement in tax-related tasks
