We are looking for a Purchasing Apprentice to join our busy Purchasing team in our Enterprise division. The Purchasing Apprentice will provide administrative support to our Buyers to ensure the smooth running of purchasing activities and processes.

 

As an apprentice you will study for your Level 3 standard in Procurement and Supply which will provide with a starting point for a successful career within purchasing. The apprenticeship will last between 18 to 24 months and is paid at a salary of £10,335 per annum, increasing to national minimum wage for age group after 12 months. Your Day-to-Day as a Purchasing Apprentice
•    Specific stock replenishment on run rate product.
•    Forecasting stock as required. 
•    Supporting and interrogating specific customer forecasts.
•    Creating vendor part codes.
•    Negotiating, maintaining and improving all terms and pricing with our suppliers.
•    Taking ownership of vendor issues and looking for process and efficiency improvements.
•    Raising, obtaining approval and sending purchase orders to suppliers, whilst adhering to all relevant procedures.
•    Resolving queries or discrepancies on supplier invoices.
•    Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct.
