We are looking for a Product Specialist/Manager to join our Security Sales Team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will be part of a lively team providing an important link between sales, commercial and our vendors in the IT Security product market. The Product Specialist/Manager will help to drive sales activity and boost GP by coordinating promotions, call out days and demos for the Business Unit. On occasion, you may be expected to travel to other site to support with learning and development interventions.

Your Day-to-Day as a Product Specialist/Manager
•    Establish, develop and maintain relationships with all key vendors
•    Arrange and attend structured monthly business reviews with all vendors 
•    Educate and train sales teams to ensure they are up to date on pricing, deals and new technologies
•    Plan, prioritise and coordinate call out days and promotions to drive sales floor activity in conjunction with the BM and sales managers
•    Identify areas for development within the sales teams to improve product knowledge or sales ability of the products in their remit
•    Coordinate on-going vendor training to meet the needs of the sales teams and new starters
•    Manage bid request process and feedback to BM/ Sales
•    Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct.

Role Requirements
•    A proven track record of building relationships as an account manager in sales or in a similar role.
•    Proven experience of achievement in a target driven environment
•    Understanding and awareness of market trends and changes and how these can impact our business
•    Confident and outgoing personality
•    An interest in IT products and a desire to learn
•    Organisational skills – able to plan and prioritise own time and be self-motivated
•    Ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders, individuals and groups, at all levels
