Role Location - Repton Road, Measham DE12 7DT (Hyrbid role - 3 days in the office, 2 days can be worked from home)

Reports to  - Marketing Manager

Hours of Work - 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

The Opportunity

The Medical Devices division of DCC Vital has an opportunity for a high calibre Marketing Executive with creativity and drive to work in a dynamic, fast paced and growth focussed environment. The position, based at our office in Measham, Derbyshire, UK, will require travel to our businesses in the UK, as well as some travel to Germany/Ireland and will provide exposure to senior management in each business in the division and the wider DCC Vital senior management team.

 

Fannin (UK) manufactures and supplies tissue retrieval products under the Espiner brand and distributes single-use medical devices. Based near Bristol, Espiner’s products are available in both the UK and international markets. Fannin (UK) also sells Medi-Globe and VacSax products, offering a broad portfolio of high-quality medical devices to healthcare customers in the UK and globally.

 

Medi-Globe is an international medical devices group based in Germany with around 580 employees. Its products are sold in over 120 countries through direct sales teams and distributor networks, with a manufacturing facility located in the Czech Republic. Medi-Globe has annual revenues of approximately €120 million.

 

VacSax manufactures and supplies disposable suction devices used in operating theatres and hospital wards. Headquartered in Plymouth, UK, VacSax was acquired by DCC Vital in 2019 and its products are distributed both in the UK and internationally.

 

Role Overview:

As Marketing Executive, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the financial growth of our own-brand surgical business. You will support both the International Export and UK Surgical teams in growing and promoting our surgical product portfolio. Your work will focus on building brand awareness, creating demand, and driving sales through a range of marketing activities.

 

As a member of a wider Marketing team, your core responsibilities will revolve around improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the field sales team, primarily by taking the lead in developing and executing marketing campaigns.  You will collaborate closely with the field sales team and other departments to ensure the optimal performance of our sales force and the successful implementation of impactful marketing strategies and initiatives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote the own-brand surgical range across International and UK markets.
  • Content Creation: Support the sales teams with effective marketing materials including brochures, presentations, digital content, and product data sheets.
  • Website Management: Manage updates and optimisation of website content relevant to the surgical portfolio.
  • Digital Marketing: Manage and optimise digital marketing campaigns including PPC, SEO, email marketing, and social media advertising
  • Lead Generation: Build and manage targeted lead generation campaigns to support sales growth.
  • Campaign Analysis: Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, analyse data, and adjust strategies to achieve better results
  • Event Coordination: Organise and participate in UK based and international events and trade shows to promote the company's products or services
  • Market Research: Work closely with the sales teams to understand market needs, conduct research to identify new opportunities, and monitor competitor activity to tailor marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Building Relationships: Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with customers, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and industry partners to enhance brand reputation.
  • New Product Launch: Lead marketing activities for new product launches within the surgical division, including developing go-to-market strategies and creating launch plans.  Work with product development and sales to translate product features into marketing materials, and monitor launch success, providing feedback for improvements.
  • Budget Management: Manage divisional marketing budgets effectively and seek cost-efficient ways to achieve marketing goals
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on marketing performance and ROI to marketing manager and senior management

 

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Marketing Executive or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms
  • Proficient in marketing software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team to meet deadlines

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Medical Device Industry preferable
