Job Title:                              Senior Digital Technology Lead

Purpose of the Role:

 

This role within the Digital Function, reporting to the Digital Director, will be responsible overseeing the development on the SAP Commerce (Hybris) web platform and our Magnitude Agility PIM and be responsible for the integrations from those into our back-end systems, particularly SAP ERP.

They will be a key part of the eCommerce team, matrixed with our IT team and will interact with Product, Marketing, IT and external SAP and digital partners to help deliver great customer experiences.

 

The candidate needs strong technical experience, and over 3 years of SAP Hybris Commerce experience, with successful track record working with Digital/eCommerce projects, ideally, but not exclusively, in B2B industries. They will ideally an ambitious developer and there will be opportunities to progress into further managerial roles in the future.

 

Role description:

  • Responsible for the management and delivery of development and innovation on the SAP Commerce platform
  • Be the key technical contact with our SAP Commerce development partner to drive continuous improvement of customer experience
  • Collaborate with the IT department on key internal projects where needed
  • Manage and optimise the integrations between our PIM system and our web platform
  • Ensure efficient external integrations including payments, address look up and email marketing
  • Work with front end developers and/or implement front end changes where required and simple in execution
  • Drive the delivery of continuous improvement works working in an Agile process delivering changes in sprints etc.
  • Work with all stakeholders, including our parent company and Group IT teams, to find opportunities to develop a longer-term digital solutions portfolio supporting the wider business
  • To specify and develop technology solutions, working with business users, customers and third-party development partners, meeting the company’s processes as follows:
    • To develop solutions to meet the agreed design, adopting an agile and iterative approach where appropriate
    • To be heavily involved in QA and testing to ensure development works as designed
    • To assist in User Acceptance Testing where applicable
    • To document change and release procedures and obtain approval before releasing enhancements
  • Extensive expertise in key digital principles, including person-centred design, prototyping and agile delivery in a sensitive and complex environment
  • Significant experience working with third party technologies and with/or in digital technology agencies

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous and current experience in developing ecommerce websites on SAP Commerce (Hybris)
  • Experience of Spring Framework, Java, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and Angular.JS are highly desirable; experience of C#, .NET, SAP and SQL Server are desirable
  • A good understanding of how to adapt front-end code for continuous improvement
  • Experience of multi-brand ecommerce capabilities, ideally international
  • Knowledge of PIM systems and Excellent understanding of reviewing data to inform decisions
  • Solid customer appreciation and understanding of customer insight techniques and capabilities
  • Significant programme and product management experience
  • Sound understanding of typical PMO processes
  • Experience of working with or in external partners
  • Agile qualified/experienced
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage at all levels
  • Role model behaviours and foster capability to constantly evaluate eCommerce processes to optimise productivity and quality amongst the team

Desirable:

  • Degree or equivalent in related subject
  • B2B experience is preferable
