The Primary Care division of DCC Healthcare has revenues of c.£150m in the German, Swiss and British markets enabled through its own commercial teams. High quality medical and diagnostic products are supplied for use in primary care, laboratory, and blue light settings. The division employs approximately 425 people in 3 countries.   

 Primary Care UK – consists of Williams Medical (https://www.wms.co.uk/) with revenues of c.£60M and SP Services (https://www.spservices.co.uk/) with revenues of c.£10M both specialise in providing a wide range of medical, healthcare products and equipment to healthcare professionals and organisations. Primary Care UK employs approximately 200 people across two purpose-built facilities, one in Telford, West Midlands England and one in Rhymney, South Wales.

 

 

Role Summary:

 

As an Online Trading Assistant, you will play a central role in optimising our e-commerce performance across owned and third-party platforms. You’ll take ownership of product data accuracy, pricing, promotions, and the day-to-day trading activity across our digital channels, including our SAP Commerce platform, third-party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon), and emerging social commerce platforms like TikTok Shop.

Your efforts will directly impact online sales, customer experience, and operational efficiency, supporting Primary Care UK’s growth as a leading supplier in the primary care and trauma sector. Responsibilities:

E-commerce Trading and Execution

  • Maintain and update product listings within SAP Commerce and PIM systems, ensuring product data, pricing, and categorisation are accurate
  • Execute promotions, pricing changes, and product launches in coordination with the e-commerce and marketing teams
  • Monitor product availability and coordinate with supply chain to minimise out-of-stock listings
  • Track online performance and identify underperforming categories or listings, recommending optimisations
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking to identify trading opportunities and ensure competitive pricing

 

 Marketplace and Social Commerce Management

  • Assist in the management and optimisation of third-party marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay
  • Support listing creation, optimisation, and performance monitoring on platforms like TikTok Shop and other emerging social commerce channels
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all marketplace platforms

 

Merchandising and Product Presentation

  • Work closely with content and design teams to ensure products are well-represented with high-quality copy, imagery, and categorisation
  • Ensure best practices are followed for conversion-focused product merchandising and SEO-friendly product content

 

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Use platform analytics and reporting tools to evaluate product, category, and channel performance
  • Provide actionable insights to inform promotions, assortment planning, and future trading strategies
  • Maintain reporting dashboards and communicate key metrics to stakeholders

 

Knowledge, Experience and Understanding Required

You will have:

  • 1–3 years’ experience in an e-commerce trading or merchandising role
  • Proficiency in managing e-commerce product data using SAP Commerce (Hybris) or a comparable platform
  • Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) systems and structured data workflows
  • Experience working with third-party marketplaces (Amazon, eBay) and/or social commerce (TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation, with the ability to manage large data sets and complex listings
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas)
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • A proactive and analytical mindset, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement

 

Bonus Points:

  • Experience using AI tools for e-commerce (e.g. AI-driven product tagging, automated content generation)
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and digital merchandising best practices
  • Interest in healthcare or medical product categories
