Job Title:                    Medical Services Manager

Department:               Medical Services (MS)

Reports to:                  Head of Medical Services

 

Purpose of the Job:

  • To manage the Medical Services department, including in-house teams and external partners, maximising financial performance, customer satisfaction, efficiency and throughput

Main Duties/Responsibilities and Knowledge/Skills Requirements

Responsibilities:        

  • Manage all direct reports within the Medical Services team ensuring effective organization of all staff in accordance with company goals and policies
  • Ensure department processes deliver high efficiency, great value and excellent customer experience
  • Expand sales and revenue across existing business and new prospects.
  • Enhance the sales and marketing execution, working with both internal and third party partners, to maximise achievement of opportunities
  • Monitor our competitor base to ensure that we maximise successful new services and routes to market
  • Onboard new product & service offerings, working with other departments to ensure all required resources are in place to support new opportunities
  • Assist the Head of Medical Services with the development of new markets, technologies and services to strengthen the department’s contribution to the overall company strategy
  • Identify improvements required to processes and systems used by the Medical Services team as part of continuous improvement
  • Generate monthly and weekly reports as required to ensure visibility of performance and deviation from plan
  • Ensure the Medical Services team is fully aware of commercial performance and where mitigation is required work with the team to address under-performance

The Person:

  • A strong customer focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong manager aligning team member goals with company goals, developing both individuals and the team, using the company’s HR systems for 1-2-1s and appraisals
  • Self-motivated with the drive to succeed especially in leading by example wherever appropriate
  • Needs good business acumen, commercial focus, professionalism and strong analytical skills, including good computer literacy
  • Ability to adapt to any task and surrounding environment – tenacious in their approach to work and a resolve to not be defeated at the first hurdle
  • To have an attitude for achieving excellence in Customer Service and Satisfaction
  • Requires a full driving licence and be willing to travel periodically as required

  • To understand all procedures required to be undertaken to fulfil customer requests / enquiries to a high standard

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience managing a commercial services team delivering excellent customer experience, high efficiency and great value
  • Good level of IT literacy including ability to generate reports using in-house systems, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
