The Opportunity:
Fannin Scientific, we provide Laboratory Diagnostic solutions to both the Healthcare and Industrial markets. Additionally, community-based diagnostic technologies are offered through our growing portfolio of point-of-care tests.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be an experienced technical salesperson within the Clinical Diagnostics Sector of Ireland. The role will involve the following:
- Work closely with the Clinical Diagnostics Manager to ensure adequate territory coverage and growth of the sales portfolio is achieved.
- Be proficient in selling and demonstrating Clinical Diagnostic equipment and consumables across the range of laboratory specialities.
- Ensure effective sales coverage of all Hospitals, Public and Private in Ireland including the Dublin, Cork and Galway areas.
- Keep sales documentation up to date
- Initiation of any marketing activities as necessary to improve or enhance sales/profit performance
- Initiation of technical support or manufacturing support to achieve same objectives
- Support to the existing Clinical Diagnostic sales team, including activities in training and customer support/development as necessary to meet short term and strategic objectives
- Assisting with the preparation of quotations and tenders.
- Reporting to the Clinical Diagnostic Manager and working closely with the other sales people both internal and external.
Qualifications and experience:

- Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a Science discipline.
- Masters not essential but would be beneficial.
- Ideally three years sales experience in the Clinical Diagnostics sector.

- Experience in the preparation and compilation of tenders would be beneficial
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge of web based CRM and/or SAP would be an advantage
- Ability to work in a team environment where strong flexibility, time management & prioritisation skills will be key
- Professional communications skills required
- Ability to use own initiative and show discretion
- Flexible approach to working hours during busy periods
