Cleaner (Decontamination)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The cleaner will be responsible for the unloading, decontamination and cleaning of equipment. In addition you will be required to test and, as needed, ensure repair is carried out.

 

  • Ensure returned equipment is cleaned and tested in accordance with procedures and identified for repair or maintenance as appropriate.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and ensure tasks are in compliance with appropriate procedures and company and EHS regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that housekeeping standards and excellent techniques are practiced, within the facility at all times, and maintained to a very high standard.
  • Carry out all activities in compliance with company, EHS & regulatory, quality and customer site regulations/requirements.
  • Participate in Cross-Functional teams, as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all operating procedures
  • Participate in Emergency Response/Fire/First Aid teams as necessary.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally in a service environment
  • Experience in a busy warehouse environment, i.e. goods in, pick, pack and dispatch operations.
  • IT literate
  • A full, clean driving License

The successful candidate will be:

  • Flexible and hardworking
  • Ability to work effectively and co-operatively with others
  • Ability to work well under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines

 

Other information:

  • During periods of high volumes you may be required to provide support to other areas of the business.
  • You will be expected to attend internal & external training courses
  • Shift work and out of hours work will be a requirement.
