Flogas has been highly acquisitive in executing this strategy, investing over £50 million in the recent acquisitions of Protech, DTGen and Equity Energies, bringing together a compelling proposition of products, technologies, and services to support customers in navigating their energy needs through the transition and to execute their strategies in regard to energy cost, security and carbon emissions on their own pathway to net zero. The Group also includes Flogas Medical Gas, based in Flint.
Flogas Britain has revenues of around £400 million and employs over 1,500 people across its multi-site operation across Britain with its headquarters in Syston, Leicestershire.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting into the lead technician within the installations and maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of Flogas Britain LPG vessels at customers premises.
This role will also involve call out and repair work within working hours and out of hours standby cover which will involve some weekend / bank holiday work.
Initially the successful candidates will work alongside an experienced LPG engineer carrying out on the job training in-between training courses at a LPG training centre
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Carry out routine maintenance work at Flogas customers premises
• Carry out on site installations of LPG Vessels, pipework, and auxiliary equipment at customer sites
• Conduct 10 year and enhanced 20-year testing on LPG tanks
• Responding to reports of faults / leaks at such customer installations (bulk and cylinder) both in normal working hours and out of hours on an ‘on-call’ rota basis
• Carry out tank exchanges and on-site re-valve of tanks
• Carry out 20-year tank exchanges including liquid transfer

JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENS
• Hold a current UK driving licence (light vehicle up to 3.5 tonne)
• Ability to meet agreed deadlines and work overtime as required in order to do so
• Self-motivated and resourceful to overcome problems as they arise
• Good verbal and written communication & influencing skills
• Highly motivated
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
• Be physically fit as the job will involve manual handling
• Full ACS Certification
