Job Purpose

The role of a Hazardous Area Installation Electrician (HAS) works  We have a vacancy for a Hazardous area electrician specialising in the installation, maintenance, inspection and testing of LPG/LNG plants throughout the UK. Ideally the successful candidate should be located within 30 miles of Knowsley Merseyside, Perth Scotland or Avonmouth Bristol.

 

Accountabilities

•    Carrying out the Installation of new customer LPG/LNG plants throughout the UK.
•    Carrying out Electrical inspections and rectification work to customer installations throughout the UK.
•    Carrying out Electrical inspections, rectification work and full plant upgrades to Flogas installations throughout the UK.
•    Carrying out off site Electrical assembly of LPG vaporisers, Pump skid units and package boiler houses.

 

Job Holder Requirements

•    Approved electrician. Accredited apprenticeship or comparable qualification (JIB Graded Gold card or above)
•    Compex modules EX01-4 or IECEx COPC Modules EX001-8
•    C&G 2391 or, 2391-52 or, 2394 & 2395 Inspection and Testing
•    C&G 2382-22 18TH Edition.
•    CCSNG/JIB or equivalent Safety passport.
•    Good IT literacy; Microsoft Excel and Office.
•    Proficient in the preparation and installation of IECEx/Atex rated equipment, including motors, control stations, junction boxes and lighting.
•    Proficient in the installation of Metal Trunking, conduit, and tray, SWA cables and glands. LV distribution equipment and ancillaries
•    Good understanding of schematic, Loop, P&ID, and zone drawings.
•    Good understanding of control systems and fault finding.
•    Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments as part of a team or as an individual.
•    It would be desirable but not essential that the candidate be familiar with NICEIC reporting and certification, hold IPAF & PASMA licenses.
As a national role, it is expected that nights out will be requires as part of the role. It will be expected that there will be an average of 3 nights out per week. Accommodation & meals will be provided for by the company.
