Flogas has been highly acquisitive in executing this strategy, investing over £50 million in the recent acquisitions of Protech, DTGen and Equity Energies, bringing together a compelling proposition of products, technologies, and services to support customers in navigating their energy needs through the transition and to execute their strategies in regard to energy cost, security and carbon emissions on their own pathway to net zero.

 

Flogas Britain has revenues of around £400 million and employs over 1,500 people across its multi-site operation across Britain with its headquarters in Syston, Leicestershire.

 

JOB PURPOSE

As an Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales of new installations in a specified geographical region. 

 

This role focuses on driving business growth through converting business generated leads alongside the identification of new opportunities. You will be responsible for managing your own pipeline through the sales process to conversion. 

 

You will also manage external relationships, specifically through developers and installers alongside building key relationships with internal stakeholders. You will also be tasked with meeting sales targets alongside compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. The role is focused on new business with minimal account management, this will align with sales professionals who prefer the dynamic nature of an acquisitional environment.   

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

•    Achieve sales targets through the acquisition of new customers 
•    Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing stakeholders. 
•    Understand the needs of the customer and provide a tailored solution  
•    Manage the sales pipeline from inception through to closure 
•    Address customer enquiries and make contact in line with communication guidelines 
•    Coordinate with internal departments to provide support and maintain strong customer contact.

 

JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS

•    Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
•    Sales experience within a consumer environment (preferred)
•    Experienced in the complete sales process - from awareness through to point of delivery 
•    Questioning and listening skills. 
•    Clear, concise and confident communicator – verbal and written.
•    Strong Networker – both internally and externally. 
•    An understanding of financial assessments and key financial drivers 
•    Achievement of sales targets.
•    Experienced in the development of third-party relationships

 

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS

•    Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
•    Proficient in MS Office, CRM software, and sales management tools.
