Job Purpose

The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, configuring, and implementing of processes at the newly commissioned Flogas Hallen LPG Storage Terminal, an upper-tier COMAH site. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to manage operational processes to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, and maintain high levels of plant availability. The role will be important in the day-to-day running of the facility, working on updating the processes in the ongoing operation of the plant, as well as the preparation for future phases of development, including ship import as we head into FEED for phase 2. Once established in the role at Hallen, it will expand into the wider Flogas Business.

 

Accountabilities

•    Accountabilities at Hallen Storage Terminal will include the following:

•    Provide a technical overview of the newly commissioned site and Phase 2 Hallen expansions.
•    Address technical queries within the agreed project timeframes.
•    Review, comment and support key deliverable generation by the engineering contractor to include 
•    but not limited to:
•    P&IDs;
•    Data Sheets;
•    Process Control Documents.
•    Safety Instrumented System & Shutdown (inc HAZOP & SIL review);
•    Mechanical Specifications.
•    Technical notes
•    Review documentation from EPC
•    Perform process simulations.
•    Technical support for Procurement activities (technical bid assessment, TQs etc.);
•    Representation and involvement in design reviews such as layout reviews & model reviews (60% & 90% for Phase 2);
•    Attendance/ participation at HSE & Q reviews such as HAZOP, SIL, ENVID (as appropriate) etc.;
•    Support for any legislative HSE&Q activities such as COMAH;
•    Undertake SAT of process control equipment & assist in commissioning activities.
•    Support handover of site from EPC
•    Control of MoC of any changes to the C&I after sign off from EPC contractor
•    Document control activities (maintain records to meet future safety requirements);
•    Ongoing support/ lead effort for Legacy Assets (phase 1);
•    Provide process documentation and operating instruction
•    Technical Engineering support during EPC;
•    Technical Engineering support for completions packages;
•    Technical Engineering support for commissioning packages;
•    Technical Engineering support for operating procedures;

 

Job Holder Requirements

Essential
•    Ideally 5 years’ experience in a Petrochemical/Process related role
•    Relevant Degree
•    Must be technically proficient in auto CAD LT 
•    GCSE Maths & English
•    Strong Controls bias & Understanding 
•    Technically aware of all safety studies, e.g. HAZID/HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, etc.
•    Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to achieve results through diverse cross-functional teams. 
•    Persuasive and personable communication skills with all levels of the organization
•    Self-motivated and good organisational skills to enable planning, execution, and implementation promptly in a highly autonomous role.
•    High level of IT competency and experience of Microsoft packages including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
•    Proficient in Auto CAD
•    Experience of working in a multi-project environment
