Job Title: Payroll and Benefits Specialist (US)

Location: Southaven, MS

Department: Human Resources

Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday, (in-office)

We are currently looking for a full time, Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our HR team.

Responsibilities

    Validate, correct, and process the bi-weekly payroll for US employees, and support team for processing of Canadian bi-weekly payroll;
    Responsible for the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan.
    Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll processing, and analyze variances;
    Validate vacation and personal time balances;
    Produce and analyze various reports in Excel;
    Assist with year-end preparation, such as W2 and 1095-C forms, as well as various compliance reporting.
    Conduct regular audits of payroll documents;
    Provide excellent internal customer service;
    Stay up-to-date with legislative changes;
    Support the team in any other administrative duties related to payroll, benefits, and human resources

Qualifications

    Proven experience as payroll specialist, with a good understanding of year-end reporting;
    Proven experience managing the Company's benefits offering; including enrollment of new employees, open enrollment, reconciliation of invoices, etc
    Experience working with employees in multiple States
    Experience with HRIS (Ceridian Dayforce is a plus); experience with Canadian payroll a plus
    Experience with wage attachments and garnishments
    Customer service centric
    Understanding of data recording and analysis
    Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
    Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
    Excellent communication skills
    Bachelor’s in business administration, human resources or relevant field
    FCP or CPP Certification is considered an asset, but not mandatory
