Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Finance Director of DCC Energy Solutions Continental Europe & DSG (based in Paris), this position will contribute to the overall financial health and strategic decision-making of DCC Energy Solutions Continental Europe & DSG by providing accurate and insightful financial analysis, this will play a vital role in shaping the company's financial policies, supporting long-term planning, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key responsibilities
Comprehensive Financial Reporting
- Take a hands-on approach in conducting financial and ESG reporting activities throughout the entire process, including monthly actuals, annual budgets, annual reforecast, and 3-year plans.
- Spearhead the setup of reporting and analysis systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Liaise and coordinate effectively with various internal stakeholders, including the Financial & M&A teams of subsidiaries within the designated scope, as well as colleagues within the broader DCC organisation.
- Foster positive relationships with potential external stakeholders to enhance collaboration and align financial objectives.
Financial & M&A Support
- Assist the Finance Director in handling all financial and M&A aspects related to the designated scope, providing valuable insights and strategic input.
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the finance & M&A teams situated in subsidiaries, offering support and expertise.
- Engage with the DCC HQ Finance & M&A teams to ensure alignment and consistency in financial practices.
Automation and Optimisation
- Drive the setup and optimisation of reporting automation using Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Qlik, to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
The Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong personal presence with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Fluency in English and in another language; (French, German, Dutch)
- A self-starter who will thrive in new environments and who has the flexibility that the role’s travel requirements will demand.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel, as needed.
