JOB TITLE: Fuel Card Accountant – Norway

REPORTING TO: Fuel Card Manager

CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent

LOCATION: Drogheda, Co. Louth / Hybrid Working

Reporting to the Fuel Card Manager, the Fuel Card Billing Accountant is primarily responsible for managing, monitoring, reconciling, clearing transactions, and analysing our fuel card operations for Norway. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your financial expertise to ensure the seamless execution of our fuel card business operations. Additionally, you will provide valuable financial insights to our Commercial and Operations teams in Norway, enabling strategic decision-making and performance optimisation within the Norwegian market.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

Monitoring/Reporting

• Ensure timely execution of customer billing and accuracy of pricing.
• Maintain and update customer pricing agreements, discounts and rebates.
• Manage daily/weekly/monthly customer billing cycles.
• Perform daily/weekly reconciliations to ensure that all transactions have been correctly captured and billed to customer.
• Manage billing queries from customers and commercial & operations teams.
• Work closely with the Treasury team to ensure that bank receipts are allocated correctly and cleared in a timely manner.
• Manage ERP Development Projects in collaboration with the SAP support team for the Fuel Card Business.
• Work closely with the Credit Control team to ensure adequate credit controls are in place.
• Collaborate with the Commercial and Operations functions in Norway to support the business.
• Assist in areas of risk management and compliance and liaise closely with external auditors.

General

• Support the Head of Finance Operations on ad hoc projects as and when required.
• Interact with external/internal parties including customers, auditors and DCC Group Compliance teams.
• Cross train with other members of the Finance Team to ensure adequate holiday / leave cover can be maintained and ensure that all major team tasks are always managed.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified Accountant with relevant industry experience preferable.
• Minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Experience

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience of SAP or similar large ERP system an advantage.
• Experience in a high-volume transaction environment.

Other Requirements
