Ashly Audio is seeking a full time DSP Engineer to design and implement DSP on various hardware and software platforms. The DSP Engineer will help identify platform options for each project that meet performance and cost requirements. The DSP Engineer is also responsible for ensuring that each DSP product maintains consistent functional performance and sound quality. Responsibilities:
Develop new audio DSP algorithms to improve the sound quality and ease-of-use of high-performance sound systems
Write DSP firmware code for various hardware cores and software platforms
Port legacy DSP algorithms and control architecture to new product designs
Document all code with intuitive function, class, and variable names, clear comments, and design diagrams
Assist with electronic platform design and other circuits related to DSP and TDM audio
Work with other engineers to understand system integration requirements
Work with technical support staff to investigate and correct reported bugs and QA issues
Qualifications:
Excellent theoretical knowledge of fundamental DSP concepts and Adaptive filtering
BSEE, BSCE or similar field or equivalent education and experience
Software programming skills in C, C++ and Matlab/Octave
Excellent knowledge of Audio DSP applications
Familiarity with Analog Devices Sharc Assembly language and VisualDSP++ tool
Experience with Eclipse-based IDEs and multi-core processors is highly desired
Experience using Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence is a plus
Must be a team player, willing to collaborate and share ideas with other engineers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
