How you’ll power our business as a Senior People Business Partner 

 

As a Senior People Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in partnering the Flogas leadership team to enable colleagues and shape the culture in support of realising the company’s ambitious growth plans. Reporting to the Head of People Business Partnering DCC Energy GB with a dotted line to the Managing Director, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor and thought partner to senior leaders and leadership team within their defined functions. You will carry accountability for shaping, influencing, and delivering people strategies that directly enable engagement, business performance, organisational effectiveness, and sustainable growth within Flogas Britain.  
 
Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here’s what you’ll be doing 

 

  • Strategic People Partnership: Act as the primary People partner to senior leaders within Flogas and management teams, providing trusted, commercial, and outcomefocused advice that balances business performance, people impact, and risk. 

  • People Planning & Alignment: Cocreate and deliver business unit people plans that are fully aligned to both strategic objectives and shortterm operational priorities, ensuring clear ownership and measurable outcomes. 

  • Organisation Design & Workforce Planning: Lead organisation design and workforce planning activities within Flogas, translating business strategy into scalable, sustainable structures that enable efficiency, capability, and growth. 

  • Colleague Lifecycle Oversight: Provide senior oversight across the full colleague lifecycle, ensuring attraction, development, performance, reward, and retention strategies align with current and future capability requirements. 

  • Influence & Insight: Influence decisionmaking through the use of robust data, insight, and scenario planning, offering constructive challenge and informed options. 

  • Resourcing & Cost Management: Own the resourcing strategy in partnership with Centres of Expertise, managing headcount, cost implications, and workforce shape while balancing commercial, operational, and people risk.
