Job Title:  Internal Communications Executive

How you’ll power our business as an Internal Communications Executive 

As an Internal Communications Executive, you’ll play a key role in helping our colleagues feel informed, connected and part of what’s happening across DCC Energy GB. Working closely with the Internal Communications Specialist and Head of Culture & Communications, you’ll help bring our stories to life – creating brilliant, engaging content, supporting campaigns and events, managing our internal channels and finding new ways to reach colleagues across our different businesses and locations. It’s a varied, hands-on role where no two days will be quite the same, with plenty of opportunity to bring your own ideas, creativity and energy. Most importantly, you’ll help make sure our communications feel human, relevant and genuinely useful to the people who work here. 

 
Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here’s what you’ll be doing 

• Deliver engaging internal communications that keep colleagues informed, connected and involved. 

• Help manage our internal channels, keeping content fresh, useful and engaging. 

• Find and tell the great stories happening across our businesses. 

• Support campaigns, activities and events that bring our purpose, values and culture to life. 

• Create engaging leadership communications, presentations, briefings and talking points. 

• Help plan and deliver Town Halls, colleague events and engagement sessions. 

• Support communications for change, transformation and key business projects. 

• Track engagement across channels, campaigns and communications. 

 What we’ll need from you 

• Previous experience in an internal communications, communications or similar role. 

• Experience communicating with hard-to-reach, frontline, operational or non-desk-based colleagues, using a range of channels and approaches. 

• Experience working with internal communication channels, intranets or employee engagement platforms. 

• Strong writing and editing skills, with a high standard of written English. 

• Confident using Microsoft 365 and content creation tools such as Canva. 

• Experience creating or editing digital content, including basic graphics and video. 

• Experience supporting internal campaigns, events or colleague engagement activity. 

• Experience working within a large, multi-site organisation would be an advantage
