Job Title:  Finance Data Analyst

How you’ll power our business as a Data Analyst 

As a Data Analyst, you will be part of a collaborative team that works in a fast-paced environment providing quality, commercially focused business information and intelligence throughout the organisation. This role will require working closely with the Finance Business Partners to improve efficiencies and margins within Flogas. Adopting new ways of working and technologies is key, with automation at the forefront. 

 
Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here’s what you’ll be doing 

• To provide analysis to improve & measure performance, service quality, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of all elements of the business. 

• To help improve, standardise and automate current reporting processes. 

• Take ownership for producing several regular reports and seek insight into the numbers. 

• Liaise with internal stakeholders and to provide accurate and timely financial analysis where required. 

• To provide insightful analysis to improve profitability in key segments and the overall business. 

• To continually strive for reporting efficiencies utilising new technologies where required, leveraging AI. 

 What we’ll need from you 

• A self-motivated and driven individual. 

• Team player. 

• Strong working knowledge of excel and preferably BI systems such as Qlik. 

• Ability to manage to tight timescales and prioritise effectively.  

• An ability to innovate, automate and optimise processes to improve efficiency. 

• Able to communicate effectively at all levels. 

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple work streams. 

• Have a keen interest in AI and automation
