How you’ll power our business as a Project Engineer
Reporting to the Senior Process Engineering Manager, you will provide technical and project delivery support to key project stakeholders. This will largely be focussed on engineering projects within Flogas GB Bulk LPG Depots. However, there will also be requirements to support complex Flogas Customer Installations, and engineering projects and initiatives which are helping to shape and deliver Flogas’ New Energies vision.
Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. Here’s what you’ll be doing

Provide technical and engineering expertise to Flogas Engineering, Operations and Project Delivery teams.

Identify and solve engineering problems by the application of sound engineering principles and specialist technical knowledge.

Identify engineering opportunities and propose changes which result in improved plant safety, compliance, reliability, capacity and productivity.

Drive business and operations improvements through the application of best practice and new technologies.

Understand and consistently apply all relevant Regulations, Standards, Codes of Practice, Guidance, and Flogas Policy.

Assist with the development of Flogas Technical Specifications.
What we’ll need from you

Professional technical/engineering qualification (minimum HND or equivalent)
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related role

Experience in a high hazard (COMAH) process environment

Post-foundation knowledge and experience of
-
Pressure Systems Engineering (vessels, piping systems)
-
Rotating Machinery (pumps, compressors)
-
Process Control Systems
-
Fire Protection Systems
-
Creation of Project Technical Specifications
-
Interpretation of P&IDs, and Cause & Effect Drawings
-
Basic CAD ability (e.g. Layout and Process Flow drawings)
