How you’ll power our business as a Shift Technician
As a Shift Technician, you will operate process equipment to safely store and manage LPG operations, as well as oversee site import and export tanker activities.
You will play a key role in ensuring the continued safe and reliable operation of Avonmouth Terminal assets through efficient maintenance and operation. Additionally, you will assist in the effective day-to-day utilisation of resources and prioritisation of tasks and projects allocated.

We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. Here’s what you’ll be doing

Undertake a range of duties on the terminal working on cryogenic plant and equipment as required including maintenance, plant operations, site delivery of projects, workplace audits, commissioning, complex fault investigation, to ensure: safety; efficiency and cost effectiveness

Record and Log plant operations, site activities and defects. Present essential/complex information in a clear and concise manner for shift handover. As well as receive information from others and asking relevant questions to enforce knowledge and understanding

Monitor contractors within their discipline or plant area ensuring the service they provide is delivered safely, on time and within agreed budgets and appropriate level of performance

Be proactive in all aspects of the maintenance programme or site operations, communicating with the Maintenance Supervisor or Instrument/Electrical leads to enable completion to plan

Be responsible for the process and engineering isolations prior to the safe setting to work from the permit technician and carry out the role of site contact under the site permit system

Keep up to date with all site maintenance and operational records of all work activities and operations undertaken
What we’ll need from you

Degree in an engineering or non-engineering discipline

Qualified to a minimum of ONC, City and Guilds or Level 3.
