The role of Samsung Product Manager is an office/field based role responsible for the management, relationship development and sales growth of:

  • Samsung Professional Displays and Commercial TV’s.
  • Samsung Sales, Commercial and Senior Management Teams
  • AV and B2B Customers
  • Internal Business Sales Pillars

This is achieved through the exposure of Exertis products, services and value proposition to identified sales channels, in conjunction with the internal sales account managers, and the respective Business Development Managers.


Functional Summary of the Role

Samsung Product Manager – Reporting into the AV General Manager, this role will involve building relationships with key Samsung personnel, customers, internal stakeholders and expanding the Samsung business with Exertis.  With a clearly defined remit to drive the Samsung business, as well as maintain and develop relationships with existing accounts, you will work alongside the internal/external sales managers, BDM’s and Commercial Team including Pre-Sales to ensure that the Exertis proposition is delivered to the market place, with the specific focus on Samsung and other complementary brands within the Audio Visual product portfolio.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Overall objective:  Be a recognised business leader for Samsung internally and externally
  • Consistent achievement of targets: GP, Share of Wallet (SoW), Stock, Aged Stock, DOS, Rebate & Negotiation contributions
  • Manage, maintain and execute Samsung Outlook and Bid process
  • On-boarding new Samsung resellers to Exertis
  • Maintaining & developing relationships within existing Exertis  accounts, and promoting the strategic Samsung ethos
  • Ability to understand the client’s business objectives and technical needs, and to engage necessary resource to support the reseller
  • Ability to work alongside internal/External account managers to ensure smooth running of account and delivery of SLA’s
  • Project support to ensure that the solution sold is effectively implemented Post-Sales support to assure very high customer satisfaction and business
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts within Samsung
  • Attending key partner events and training sessions
  • Continued training to maintain knowledge of product roadmap and latest technology changes
  • Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment
  • Maintain professional relationships with teammates, partners and clients
  • In conjunction with Samsung and internal stakeholders, maintain & update pipeline to ensure all deals are logged and registered where necessary
  • Ensure Stock levels of Samsung are consistent, working with the Vendor to achieve this….
  • Travel required
  • Additional duties as assigned


Education and/or Experience

  • Industry Certification preferred but not essential
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within field sales based role
  • Demonstrated experience in similar role and with a proven track record



  • Ability to effectively identify Vendor and customer business requirements
  • Experience and ability to engage at a senior level within key accounts and vendors
  • Ability to understand and explain the benefits of partnering with Exertis
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to make presentations to all levels of an organisation
  • Genuine interest in technology
  • Consistently demonstrate attention to detail, and strong commercial acumen

  • Software skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word,
  • Previous experience of selling/product managing Audio Visual products is advantageous
  • Able to manage a Commercial and sales pipeline
