The Sales Ledger Clerk is required to support the Finance team by ensuring payments are allocated correctly, processing refunds to our customers and using the system to make sure payments are posted within the correct accounts.

 

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

 

Key Responsibilities

    Post, match and reconcile payments received by Exertis to the relevant customer accounts.

    All aspects of Sales Ledger, including cash posting and allocations.

    Complex reconciliations of customer accounts where applicable.

    Process customer refunds.

    Reconciliation of bank.

    Identify and raise debit notes within an allocation.

    Build strong relationships and ensure communication between departments is effective and consistent.

    Manage the Oracle database and ensure any queries are logged and resolved quickly.

    Produce monthly team reports to line manager.

    Ensure Accounts Receivable department is adequately covered at all times.

    General Accounts administration, including filing and retrieval of paperwork.
