We are recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join our team in Burnley.


Job Purpose:

To provide advice, guidance and assistance to departments, employees and customers of Exertis  related to the return of products, issues and complaints, policies and information relating to documentation for both pre and post sales whilst seeking to provide relevant solutions as required that ensure customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with general queries and offer advice and guidance to Exertis employees, departments, customers distributors and suppliers.
  • Establish good professional relationships with all parties dealt with on a daily basis
  • Resolve day to day administrative tasks and operational issues by acting as a liaison between all business areas customers and external units using pre determined processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that all correspondence is checked and recorded on the appropriate system to assist future interaction with customers.
  • Issue credit notes to customer in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Maintain up to date records of calls made, appointments for call backs and details of account history.
  • Ad hoc duties


Skills and Experience 

  • Previous experience of working in a fast and demanding customer service department,
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle and resolve customer service issues successfully on the phone
  • Willingness to learn – flexible and confident
  • Positive attitude, confident and determined
  • Planning and organisation
  • Commercial awareness
