Come and join the Exertis Commercial Finance function where you’ll provide high quality accounting support and finance partnering to key stakeholders in our business.
Working for the Commercial Finance Manager and building relationships with our Sales and/or Commercial teams, you’ll use your attention to detail, inquisitive nature and collaborative approach to provide an excellent service to the business.
The role is based in Basingstoke, operating on a hybrid working basis.
What you’ll be doing
- Weekly and quarterly profit forecasting
- Assist in driving annual budget process
- Ensure the business is familiar with key variances to latest forecast and budgets
- Assist the Commercial Finance Manager in production of month end reporting packs
- Supporting the monthly target setting and performance related pay calculations
- Financial analysis for business stakeholders to help exploit opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the sales/commercial business leads as required

Essential
- Degree educated
- At least 1-year relevant work experience
- Strong interpersonal skills; be part of a team that is the face of Business Finance team
- Self-motivated and results driven
- Proven track record in financial analysis
- Proficient Excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Willing to travel from time to time
- Currently studying towards, or an appetite to start, a professional Accounting Qualification (e.g. CIMA).
Desirable
- Experience in commercial finance and business partnering desirable
- Familiarity with SAP or Qlikview systems
