The Business Admin Apprentice in our Quote and Configuration department is an exciting opportunity to build experience within the UK’s largest IT distributor, working with well-known leading brands such as Intel, Nvidia and Xilinx. You will be working from the Basingstoke office alongside our Enterprise Commercial Team, who design and build IT solutions to keep customer’s businesses agile, enable them to grow and give them a competitive edge. This is a diverse, growing and experienced team to be a part of where you can expand your knowledge and build fantastic foundations for a career within IT.


You will be studying the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard across 18 – 24 months and learning key IT skills across multiple packages and systems, interpersonal and decision-making skills, as well as how to communicate effectively, produce quality work and how to record data and produce documentation. You will also build knowledge about the organistation, the value of your skills, key stakeholders, relevant regulations and policies and finance/business fundamentals and processes.
Following successful completion of this apprenticeship we would then hope to keep you on as a permanent team member within our Enterprise function. The apprentice salary is £10,335 increasing to national minimum wage for your age group after 12 months.


Your Day-to-Day as a Business Admin Apprentice
•    Work with vendors to obtain pricing for key opportunities 
•    Provide Sales team with customer quotations in official Exertis Enterprise format
•    Track all quotes to ensure closure rate is high 
•    Enter Deal registrations 
•    Attend all vendor training to gain basic knowledge on all products 
•    Working on production schedules 
•    Help manage stock and pricing 
•    Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct.

•    Organisation skills – able to plan and prioritise time to deal with conflicting priorities
•    Drive and enthusiasm, with a positive can-do attitude
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Excellent attention to detail
