PR & Communications Executive

Key Responsibilities
- Ongoing contribution to development and delivery of internal communications, including internal emails, intranet and more
- Sourcing and developing content through interfacing with multiple stakeholder groups including Employee Resource Groups, EDIT Team, Community Champions and more
- Media outreach to B2B channel media journalists and editors, using top-quality media assets and your own strong interpersonal skills to earn coverage that drives brand awareness
- Continual contribution to the management of Exertis’ social media platforms, with the planning, creating, scheduling and posting of Exertis branded content every day.
- Development and maintenance of journalist contact databases, development of relationships with key contacts throughout the media
- Strategic input into the planning and execution of PR campaigns, working collaboratively with the team on plans and creation of assets
- Demonstrating strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the Group Business Conduct Guidelines.
Key Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be equally comfortable with phone, email, video call and in-person communications
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with ability to write for specific audiences or demographic profiles
- Good time management with a positive and pro-active attitude
- Organised to juggle multiple pieces of work with ability to prioritise
- Calm under pressure
- Good writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Ability to source stories from colleagues
- Sensitive to the organisation’s goals and values and the ability to relay them to colleagues and the outside world
- Using interpersonal and relationship skills to build network
- Digital skills to create content in different mediums
Desirable experience
- Relevant University degree (2:1 or above) in PR, Communications or Marketing, or:
- Relevant experience in a communications or marketing role
Metrics
- Quality and quantity of content published internally and externally
- Content an execution KPIs consistently met and approved by comms managers
- High levels of diligence, quality-checking and acquiring stakeholder sign-off
