DCC Vital markets and sells a broad range of own- and third-party medical device and pharmaceutical products in UK, Ireland, and Germany. This role sits within the Britain & International division of DCC Vital. 

This specific position is for a Territory Sales Manager with VacSax ltd.  VacSax is the market leader for Suction Liners and related Theatre consumables within the UK. As well as this, we are the only UK manufacturer of Suction Liners and dedicated to further growth of our Theatre and Critical Care products.


The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone new/limited experience in Medical Sales. The focus of this role with VacSax is to develop and enhance clinical relationships across the territory with the focus being Theatres, Critical Care and Procurement The purpose of the role is to communicate the clinical and commercial benefits of our product range, to enable better patient outcomes and to provide cost effective options to clinical staff across the territory.

As well as delivering your required Sales Targets, VacSax sales staff also maintain all their Suction Systems in Theatres and outlying areas. This includes trouble shooting, and routine maintenance of Suction Stands. You will also attend Theatre audit dates, where staff training and maintenance can be undertaken.

You’ll be working as part of a small team of Territory Managers and although working within your own region, the team frequently work together to convert an entire hospital over to the product line, so there is regular collaboration and teamworking.



  • To deliver year-on-year sales growth by meeting and/or exceeding the annual sales plan in the agreed territory.

  • Strong focus on new product introduction

  • To secure, maintain and service existing business

  • To utilise CRM system inputting all information daily

  • To build a sales pipeline and meeting strategic growth targets by identifying key growth and new business opportunities

  • To develop and implement agreed strategies in all target accounts

  • To train customers to use and understand our products and services to best practice standard

  • To conduct strategic reviews within the customer base, for the largest and/or most strategically important accounts

  • To participate in and provide support at relevant exhibitions, sales meetings, and other clinical/sales-related functions, as requested and/or defined by management

  • To take ownership of customers and KOLs to ensure that positive relationships are developed and maintained, with customer satisfaction paramount

  • To develop territory management plans that identify and prioritise activities to achieve business goals

  • To promote a positive and professional company image internally and externally

  • To complete all administration, reports & requests within guidelines & on time

  • Undertake cross Territory support within your Colleagues areas. [This will be on a regular basis]

  • You will be required the Maintain the VacSax Suction System in Theatres and outlying departments. This will entail you carrying specific equipment and Tools, to undertake the work. Full Training and on-site support will be given


Experience & profile:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone new/limited experience in Medical Sales.  The following would be desirable.

  • Nursing/Technical/Medical qualification, with experience in any of the following areas - Hospital Theatre, ICU or Emergency Care.

  • Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role would be highly advantageous particularly in the above clinical areas

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Organisational/multi-tasking skills

  • Comfortable working independently with a high level of self-initiative

  • Persuasive and approachable with strong interpersonal skills (relationship building & teamwork)

  • Tenacity and resilience

  • Flexible approach to working hours during busy periods

  • Full Driving License

  • The successful candidate would ideally be based within the territory

This is a field-based role and will involve frequent travel.
