Job Summary

The Head of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing departments, developing strategic plans to drive revenue growth, enhancing brand presence, and ensuring profitable, sustainable sales growth. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales and marketing, ideally, within the medical or related industries.

Sales Management

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to maximise performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage a mix of field and office based sales people to drive growth and consistently achieve on target performance.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior leadership.

Marketing Management

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote and increase sales of SP Services products and services.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including digital content, brochures, and advertisements.
  • Oversee the management the company's online presence, including the website and social media channels.
  • Coordinate market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing strategies.
  • Plan and manage promotional events, trade shows, and exhibitions.

Strategic Leadership

  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to align sales and marketing strategies with overall company goals.
  • Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture within the sales and marketing teams.
  • Implement best practices and innovative approaches to enhance sales and marketing effectiveness.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with other departments, including Purchasing and Customer Support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Build relationships as part of the wider Primary Care UK Sales Team, and be the voice for SP Services in that team.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to the senior management team on sales and marketing performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Business Management / Administration.
  • Proven experience in a sales leadership role, with some marketing experience - preferably within the medical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools.
  • Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Commercially astute with a results-oriented approach.
