Main Duties/Responsibilities:


Williams Medical seeks to appoint a Marketing Manager to be the champion of the William’s brand  proposition and drive vital communication plans.  They will be responsible for delivering inspiring marketing and product campaigns to enhance the brand credentials and re-activate customers.


They will drive customer acquisition and retention via key digital marketing channels and some off-line channels, using an attitudinal marketing segmentation. Additionally, they will work with key suppliers to secure digital marketing contribution to drive/fund marketing initiatives.   Reporting the ROI on marketing campaigns is a critical part of this role as is the cross functional support to key.


This is an exciting time to join William’s and work with the new digital team and a growing eCommerce platform.

Primary Focus Area


Brand & Proposition


  • Embed the Williams rebrand and a new tone of voice across key communication channels including the website.
  • Drive the creative development and implementation of a new internal and external communications strategy.
  • Work with internal departments to embed the attitudinal segments including devising and executing robust marketing propositions for each of the segments.
  • Develop Williams brand marketing activities to further enhance the company’s market leading position.
  • Manage the Williams and associated brands social media content and output via external agency.
  • Lead events Planning and key events across the year e.g. Best Practice
  • Build a KOL Board and run 2-3 panels per year.


Customer Activation


  • Develop and execute the annual Marketing plan and manage budget accordingly.
  • Lead the ECRM programme including BAU emails and customer attrition campaigns (weekly and monthly).  This includes responsibility for the data mining to drive ECRM.
  • Support key cross functional partners to deliver campaign plans
  • Deliver off line content as required e.g. traditional print for cross functional teams
  • Deliver comms support for exclusives campaigns
  • Produce business cases to support key marketing investment.
  • Manage all advertising and media buying activities e.g. on line trade press and industry directories.


Supplier Packages


  • Compile digital package presentations with relevant personalisation for key suppliers, to sell our digital “real estate,” in partnership with purchasing team.
  • Work with digital team to deliver the digital marketing packaged with key suppliers.






  • Strong success in either a FMCG/Retail environment or a fast-moving, high volume B2B industry where service levels are key.
  • Dynamic in style with high levels of energy, ambition, and confidence.
  • Results-orientated and commercially aware individual with excellent strategic skills as well as an ability to operate with a hands-on, pragmatic approach.




  • Line management experience
  • You will manage by example and display excellent people management skills
  • Experience of developing a marketing capability within an organisation


Skills and Capabilities




  • Outstanding ‘all round’ marketer with experience of brand building and mass market customer comms.
  • Experience of embedding and using a customer segmentation tool.
  • Experience of data analytics/data mining and ECRM.
  • Sound analytical skills e.g. ROI analysis and goal focused outlook.

Qualifications and Training




  • 8-10 years’ experience in a marketing role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns inc. ECRM.
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills




  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field.
  • Medical knowledge
