Purpose of the Job:


To acquire, grow and nurture strategic customers through developing and sustaining long lasting and profitable relationships with key decision makers.


Main Duties/Responsibilities


An Account Executive will be responsible for circa 275-300 customer accounts.


Acquisition – ‘Every customer should be trading with Williams as their preferred supplier’


•          Establishing who the key decision makers are within each practice

•          Identifying what competitors are used and the reasons for non-trading

•          Forging strong relationships with key decision makers, predominantly through telephone with support from field visits

•          Creating a thorough understanding of customer requirements

•          Developing and delivering viable commercial propositions to acquire new business

•          Influencing sales to be placed via the web as a preferred trading method

•          Utilising knowledge of CQC to assist customers and to drive equipment sales

•          Meeting agreed KPI’s related to new business acquisition

•          Although self-sufficiency is key, working in a team to share best practice initiatives is vital


Account development – ‘Every challenge and customer contact is an opportunity’


•          Continually growing the monthly contribution of every customer mainly through expanding core disposable category products and also equipment/pharmaceutical products

•          Preventing the churn of ALL customers through proactively identifying any risks to customer trading and providing efficient resolutions to any issues that may arise

•          Ensuring regular contact is made with each customer to create a full awareness and understanding of customer activity

•          Taking full ownership of any high level complaints to ensure a positive, efficient and satisfactory resolution is achieved every time

•          Ensuring accurate and detailed notes are captured on every customer contact

•          Liaising with credit control to monitor and assist in maintaining accounts

•          Ensuring all account information is kept up to date
