The Opportunity

Our organization is seeking a Senior Data Analyst who specializes in the Qlik BI toolset. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions that help our Financial and Operations functions make informed decisions. The candidate should have an extensive background in data analytics, reporting, and visualization, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality insights and actionable recommendations.

Principal duties and responsibilities include:

• Design, develop and maintain Qlikview and Qliksense applications to support business needs
• Work with operational and financial managers to develop new insights into business performance
• Provide technical expertise and support to business users in the areas of data visualization and analytics
• Develop and maintain documentation of reporting processes and procedures
• Manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Collaborate with other data analytics experts within DCC Vital and the wider DCC Plc organisation and participation in group forums and initiatives
• Keep abreast of Qlik product developments and explore the use of additional analytics tools that could bring value to the business
• Contribute to the development of the data strategy for the organisation in collaboration with colleagues in other parts of DCC Healthcare

Skills & experience:

The principal skills, experience and personal characteristics, which the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate, are:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field
• At least 8 years experience in data analytics, business intelligence and reporting
• Extensive experience with Qlik (or similar in-memory data analytics tools)
• Experience in the development of a data warehouse would be an advantage
• Extensive knowledge of SAP ECC (or similar tier one ERP solution)
• Self-starter, ability to work on own initiative and self-management
• Proven problem solving skills
• Excellent communicator with ability to convey technical concepts to business users at all levels in the organisation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• A passion for quality and accuracy in data solutions
• Previous experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment would be an advantage
• Flexibility to travel to other group locations on occasion
• Full driving licence
