Are you a qualified or part-qualified accountant or tax professional looking to develop your expertise and take the next step in your tax career?

Certas Energy is looking for a Tax Accountant to join our growing Tax team!

Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, you’ll gain broad exposure to indirect taxes, fuel duties, corporation tax support, compliance, risk management and process improvement.

What will you be doing?

• Preparing and submitting VAT and other tax returns accurately and on time.

• Supporting compliance across fuel duty, RDCO, Plastic Packaging Tax and CIS.

• Analysing data to strengthen tax controls, reporting and processes.

• Identifying compliance risks and opportunities for improvement.

• Providing practical tax guidance and support to colleagues across the business.

What are we looking for?

• A qualified or part-qualified accountant or tax professional.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Intermediate Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.

• The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively.
