How you’ll power our business as a Kitchen Assistant
As a Kitchen Assistant within our Truckstops business, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our kitchen outlet, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and food safety. You'll help create a positive and welcoming experience for customers through efficient service, quality food preparation, and a safe, organised working environment.

What you’ll be doing

Preparing and serving food in line with brand standards.

Delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive customer experience.

Supporting food preparation activities and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.

Maintaining food hygiene standards and ensuring HACCP compliance.

Completing daily and scheduled cleaning tasks.

Following company policies relating to health & safety, food safety, cash handling, and stock control.

Supporting stock management processes, receiving deliveries, and reporting shortages where required.

Contributing to site sales targets and overall business performance.

Working collaboratively with colleagues as part of the wider retail team.
What we’ll need from you

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

A positive, customer-focused attitude with excellent teamwork skills.

Ideally, previous experience within a retail, hospitality, catering, or food service environment.

A willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
