We are recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join our amazing team within the consumer function. The role of the Assistant Buyer is to ensure the effective scheduling of deliveries to meet business and customer requirements and to be the first line liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent service levels. This role offers lots of opportunity for progression and development in the future.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Review inbound requests from vendors in line with business requirements
  • Oversee the inbound movement of goods from suppliers and issue booking in slots
  • Raise purchase orders, chase approval and send to suppliers
  • Resolve warehouse dispute notices
  • Maintain and update accurate due dates for delivery of products.
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct

Role Requirements

  • Proven experience in a fast paced administration role
  • Proficient in using Microsoft and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
